Drs. Mark and Linda Saunders have worked with families and marriages for over 30 years in different capacities. They have a passion to help couples build lasting and fulfilling relationships. Their passion took them internationally to work with children and families for 15 years. Drs. Mark and Linda have been married for 35 years and work extensively with couples from every background both nationally and internationally. They possess a unique insight for bringing together couples from different backgrounds to help them develop a new couple identity that blends strengths from both persons. Drs. Mark and Linda are passionate about helping couples actualize their full couple identity.
Drs. Mark and Linda founded Wellspring of Hope Counseling and Wellspring of Hope Marriage Intensives. Wellspring of Hope Marriage Intensives is situated on a 97 acre wooded estate in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The intensive is designed for couples experiencing marital crisis as well as couples seeking to renew intimacy in their marriage. The intensive estate offers a relaxing and secluded setting where couples can embrace their journey toward authentic connection.
Dr. Mark earned a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and a Masters in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. He teaches university courses in marriage and family therapy as well as healthy sexuality. Dr. Mark is dually licensed as an LMFT and LPC in the state of Virginia. He also sits on the Governing Council for the American Counseling Association, Board of Trustees for the American Counseling Association Foundation, and the board of the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors.
Dr. Linda earned a PhD in Intercultural Studies, a Masters in Global Studies, and an MDiv. Dr. Linda sits on the Board of Directors at William Carey International University and teaches at various universities. Dr Linda also brings her expertise to Wellspring of Hope as their mulitcultural consultant. She travels and consults on multicultural development for NGO’s and non-profits.
